Our Classes

General Info

At Miss Ali Stage School, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to shine. Our weekly one-hour classes provide a fun, safe and inspiring environment where children can make lasting friendships, build confidence and discover a love for performing.

Through a combination of acting, singing and dance, students develop new skills while working towards exciting performances and our annual show. Every class is filled with energy, creativity and encouragement, helping each child grow in confidence both on and off the stage.

Our purpose-built, state-of-the-art studio provides the perfect setting for children to express themselves, challenge themselves and become part of a supportive performing arts family. Whether your child dreams of the spotlight or simply wants to have fun, make friends and learn new skills, there is a place for them at Miss Ali's.

We are passionate about nurturing every student's individual potential, encouraging creativity, teamwork, discipline and self-belief. Above all, we strive to ensure every child leaves each class smiling, feeling proud of what they have achieved and excited to come back the following week.

Acting Classes

Throughout the year, classes focus on the productions and shows we are working towards, allowing students to gain real performance experience while developing their acting ability. Alongside show rehearsals, students take part in a wide variety of drama activities including improvisation, drama games, character development, stage movement, mime, monologues, duologues and poetry. Students also learn valuable stagecraft and performance techniques such as audition skills, public speaking, communication, gesture, voice projection, organs of speech, accent work and basic theatre theory. Creativity extends beyond performance as students are introduced to elements of costume and set design, helping them gain a greater understanding of how productions come together. Our classes are designed to build self-belief, resilience and teamwork while encouraging every child to express themselves with confidence. These skills benefit students not only on stage, but in everyday life, helping them become confident communicators and well-rounded individuals. Whether a child dreams of a career in the performing arts or simply wants to grow in confidence, our acting classes provide a strong foundation and form an essential part of becoming a versatile triple threat performer alongside singing and dance.

How to join

If you are a new student and interested in attending Miss Ali's, you can book your Meet & Greet to see what you think. This is a short taster session with Miss Ali where you can come, see the Stage School, meet Miss Ali and get a feel of the vibes. A Meet & Greet is also for the Miss Ali teachers to see if you will fit in well with the group dynamic and with the level of the classes. All classes are co-ordinated by age group and level of ability. A Meet & Greet does not guarantee you a place, we only take students who we feel are ready, which 99% of the time they are! Students will only advance and move class if Miss Ali directs them to do so.

During a Meet & Greet, parents do not stay to watch. Our ambition is to build independent and confident young people. This is the same for every class directed at The Miss Ali Stage School. KIDS ONLY!

Meet & Greets will only be appointed if there is availability within a class, teachers want to see focus, good behaviour, great attention skills and the potential to communicate with other students.

NB: Your Meet & Greet time and day will never be reflective of what class you will be assigned to. Meet & Greets are scheduled at random each month. There is a fee of €30 per student for a Meet & Greet class.
