Alison Vard Miller aka "Miss Ali", is a performer, director, choreographer, producer, songwriter, author and entrepreneur with over two decades of experience in the performing arts. Born and raised in Dublin, Alison is the daughter of Cathy Vard of the renowned Vard Sisters, and has been immersed in music, theatre and performance from an early age.

At just 15 years old, while still in Transition Year, Alison founded The Miss Ali Stage School. What began in 2005 with just a handful of students has grown into one of Dublin's most successful independent performing arts schools, now inspiring and training hundreds of children every week. Based in a purpose-built, state-of-the-art school in Dundrum Town Centre, personally designed by Alison, the school has become renowned for its high standards, positive environment and outstanding productions.

A passionate educator, Alison has dedicated her career to nurturing young talent, building confidence and creating opportunities for children to shine. Many of her students have gone on to perform professionally in productions and television shows including The Voice UK, The Late Late Show and concerts at Wembley Arena, while countless others have developed lifelong confidence and skills through her guidance.

As a creative force, Alison has written, produced, directed and choreographed over twenty original stage productions, staging sell-out performances at prestigious venues including The Olympia Theatre and the National Concert Hall. Her productions have become known for their originality, professionalism and ability to showcase the talents of young performers on some of Ireland's finest stages.

Alongside her work as an educator, Alison has enjoyed an extensive professional performing career spanning theatre, television, concerts and international events. She made her professional debut at just 11 years of age in the Olympia Theatre pantomime before going on to perform leading roles in productions including Bugsy Malone, Footloose, Cinderella, Puss in Boots, Hair the Musical and Hello Dolly in the Gaiety. She has also performed with acclaimed artists including Rebecca Storm and Pixie Lott, toured extensively throughout Ireland, appeared in television commercials for Boots and Bank of Ireland, and featured in numerous television and radio productions which includes Late Late Show, Pat Kenny Show, Ray D’Arcy Show, Claire Byrne Show and an exclusive interview on Ireland AM. Besides Theatre, TV and Radio, Alison also performed as a show dancer in the Mansion House, a singer/ dancer in Irish Nights in Three Rock and did a contract onboard the Irish Ferries as a lead singer/ dancer.

A respected vocalist, Alison has had the honour of performing for the President of Ireland at Áras an Uachtaráin and twice represented Ireland as a backing vocalist at the Eurovision Song Contest, performing in Malmö, Sweden and Kyiv, Ukraine. Most recently, she appeared as a solo artist at the 3Arena as part of the Ibiza Orchestral Concert.

Beyond the stage, Alison is an accomplished songwriter and recording artist. During the pandemic she wrote and recorded her original album, Silver Lining, available on all major streaming platforms. Alison had her first record deal at age 12 when she released a single ‘This Holy Christmas Night’ which was available in Golden Disc’s and HMV and Pat Kenny invited her to perform on the Late Late Toy Show without an audition which was a bug honour. She also penned the children's book The Naughty Little Germ, which became a nationwide success, stocked by major retailers including Eason, Dunnes Stores and Circle K, and featured across television, radio and national media.

Alison's extensive training includes Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, London, The Gaiety School of Acting, The Royal Irish Academy of Music, The Irish Board of Speech and Drama, Maire Ledwith Butler Voice Academy, Maeve Widger's School of Drama and Julian Benson's Stage School. She also holds a Diploma of Associate in Acting from The Irish Board of Speech and Drama and is the recipient of an AIMS Award for Best Supporting Actress.

Today, Alison continues to perform professionally alongside leading Irish artists while dedicating her life to inspiring the next generation through The Miss Ali Stage School. Her philosophy is simple: every child deserves the opportunity to build confidence, discover their creativity and experience the joy of performing. Through her passion, positivity and unwavering belief in young people, Alison has transformed the lives of thousands of students, making her one of Ireland's most respected and influential figures in children's performing arts.
